Our journey began three generations ago in Richmond, London, where Louis Holt honed his craft as a skilled clock and watchmaker. His son, Anthony, expanded the company by introducing silver model-making, laying the groundwork for a family legacy dedicated to fine craftsmanship. Today, Gil, continues to blend
techniques passed down from father to son with modern expertise.
Gil has fond memories of working alongside his father Anthony for two decades. Among Anthony’s most impressive early creations was an 1860s American Type Locomotive model—a remarkable piece that still remains in the family’s possession. Gil recalls playing with it as a child, sparking his dedication to continue the family business with the same meticulous approach his father instilled in him. One of Gil’s proudest achievements was being asked by Lord Bamford to restore a sterling silver JCB excavator originally crafted by Anthony Holt in 1977.
