Anthony Holt & Sons, in collaboration with Spitfires.com, are proud to present a limited edition of 40 sterling silver handmade Supermarine Spitfire Mk II scale model aircraft. The models’ propeller blades have been constructed from aluminium removed from an original 1940’s Supermarine Spitfire.
Each model is built to a 1:24th scale of a full-sized Spitfire and have a wingspan of 18 inches (45.7cm). The models are incredibly accurate and include a fully detailed cockpit and pilot.
The scale model aircraft are supplied with certificates of authenticity signed by both the model maker and the director of Spitfires.com of Goodwood Aerodrome (who provided the genuine 1940’s Spitfire aluminium used in the propeller).
It is a genuine piece of British aircraft history. Each model’s propeller is constructed using aluminium belonging to an original Spitfire from the 1940’s. To authenticate this, the framed certificate is signed by Matt Jones, Director of Spitfires.com, who supplied the aluminium.
The silver Spitfire model is polished to a mirror finish and then clear lacquered to prevent tarnishing.
The model is mounted on a black polyester plinth which has been lacquered to a mirror finish. A hallmarked sterling silver inscription plate can be supplied and fitted to the plinth.

Anthony Holt & Sons have many decades of experience producing highly detailed sterling silver scale replicas; each Spitfire is created and assembled by hand.
The model is mounted on a silver stand bearing the Anthony Holt Hallmark.The plane is angled in a classic ‘dive position’ and stands on a high gloss plinth, which can be personalised with an engraved silver plaque.
Each Spitfire comes with a framed Certificate of Authenticity which certifies the model’s number within the limited edition and the origin of the 1940’s aluminium used to cast the propeller.
