Anthony Holt & sons
Founded in 1915 by master watchmaker Louis Holt, it was his son Anthony who began crafting bespoke silver models of military vehicles from the family jewellery shop. In the years that followed, Gil guided the company into its current form, crafting a range of luxury bespoke creations for renowned brands including Aston Martin, Bentley Motors, Rolls Royce Motors, JCB Excavators, and Bugatti SPA, among many others.
Gil fondly recalls working alongside his father, Anthony, for two decades. Among Anthony’s most impressive early creations was a model of an 1860s American Type Locomotive: a remarkable piece that remains in the family’s possession to this day. It was playing with that model as a child that Gil’s passion was first ignited, growing into a devotion that would drive him to carry the family business into the present day, guided by the same meticulous craftsmanship his father had instilled in him.
One of Gil’s proudest achievements was the restoration of a sterling silver JCB excavator, originally crafted by his father in 1977, at the request of Lord Bamford.
